Enea Operator to build a lithium-ion energy storage facility

Enea Operator has announced the gathering of bids for the construction of a lithium-ion energy storage facility in Smolnica near Lipka (Złotów County).

The energy storage facility, with a power capacity of 8 MW and an energy storage capacity of 8 MWh, is expected to provide:
✅ Network stabilization
✅ Improved electricity quality
✅ Shifting peak loads associated with energy production and consumption

The facility will become a key element of the local network, especially in a region with a high concentration of renewable energy sources.

The investment includes:
✅ Construction of a battery energy storage system 8 MW/8 MWh
✅ Medium-voltage 15 kV network switchgear RS Smolnica
✅ Demolition of the old switchgear and reconstruction of 15 kV cable lines

Expected completion date: 2026.
