Enea Operator is actively expanding the power grid
Enea Operator has signed additional contracts for investments aimed at improving energy efficiency. The total value of the projects exceeds PLN 237 million. Through these investments, the company is expanding its infrastructure capacity, enabling the connection of new businesses, renewable energy sources, and electric vehicle charging infrastructure to the grid.
The first of the signed contracts includes the comprehensive reconstruction and commissioning of the high-to-medium voltage (HV/MV) Poznań HCP transformer station and accompanying infrastructure. The contract is valued at over PLN 23 million, and the project is scheduled for completion by mid-January 2027.
Enea Operator has also signed contracts for the comprehensive modernization of eight 110/15 kV power stations in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship. The total value of the contracts exceeds PLN 189 million. The scope of work includes design, reconstruction, commissioning of transformer stations, modernization of existing buildings, and construction of supporting infrastructure.
Additionally, a new switchgear station will be built in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship. The construction of a 110/15 kV medium-voltage substation at the Bydgoszcz – West high-voltage station is the subject of another contract signed by Enea Operator. In addition to construction work, the contract includes the development of a fifth 15 kV medium-voltage line, stretching approximately 4.3 km, which will be integrated with the existing 15 kV MV network in the area. The contract, signed on March 3, is valued at over PLN 25 million, with a completion deadline of 18 months.
Poland’s national power system is undergoing a transformation. In Enea Operator’s service area, the share of renewable energy generation is increasing each month, along with the number of medium-voltage grid connections. This requires distribution system operators to expand grid connection capacity for existing lines while also developing new infrastructure tailored to the changing needs of consumers. Through its investments in the power grid and commitment to maintaining high-quality energy supply standards, Enea Operator remains an active participant in Poland’s energy transition.
