Central Energy Market Information System (CSIRE) launched

As stated in the Polskie Sieci Elektroenergetyczne (PSE) press release, the system stores information related to the functioning of the retail electricity market.

Thanks to CSIRE, data will be collected according to uniform standards and processed within standardised procedures, which will improve the effectiveness and efficiency of this market’s operation. CSIRE will support the development of services aimed at meeting the needs of energy consumers and increasing the flexibility of the national power system,” it was reported.

"The launch of CSIRE is a milestone in the development of the national power sector. The system will serve as a foundation for enhancing consumer flexibility and enabling them to provide services to the system. It is also a key element in fostering competition in the electricity market and creating a unified infrastructure for collecting, processing, and storing power sector data, said Grzegorz Onichimowski, President of PSE.

“CSIRE is a major undertaking that requires the involvement of all market participants. Building this system would not have been possible without the support, experience, and expertise of these entities, and in particular the effort contributed by distribution system operators and electricity suppliers. Ahead of us is the integration of further market participants with CSIRE and the evolutionary development of CSIRE towards new products and services in the electricity market. These are challenging tasks that require continued joint work,” said Tomasz Sikorski, Vice-President of PSE.
