TAURON to Allocate Profit for Investments
TAURON has announced that it will allocate its profit toward strategic investments. This decision reflects the company's long-term development strategy, focusing on energy transition, grid modernization, and the expansion of renewable energy sources. By reinvesting earnings, TAURON aims to strengthen its infrastructure, improve energy security, and support the decarbonization of the Polish energy sector.
On April 14, the Management Board of TAURON Polska Energia recommended to the General Meeting that the entire net profit of PLN 510,278,026.06 be allocated to the Company’s reserve capital. Retaining these funds within the Company will reduce the need for external financing and positively impact the net debt/EBITDA ratio.
“Allocating the entire profit to reserve capital will allow us to reduce debt and limit the need for external financing for the Group’s key investments. In the long term, these actions will translate into tangible benefits, including the ability to generate higher profits, which we will be able to allocate to dividends for shareholders,” said Krzysztof Surma, Vice President of the Management Board for Finance.
This decision aligns with TAURON’s current dividend policy. In making it, the Management Board considered the Group’s investment program outlined in the “TAURON New Energy” Strategy for 2025–2035. Under this strategy, the company plans to invest PLN 100 billion, primarily in the development of the distribution segment and the construction of green generation capacity and energy storage systems.
